Rhonda Watt

Instruments: Piano, Flute, Music Theory

Rhonda is a highly experienced teacher with over 40 years of piano teaching, working across Gulgong, Mudgee, and Coolah. She studied privately at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and trained as a primary school teacher at Sydney Teachers’ College. Later in life, she took up the flute while raising her three musically inclined children. Rhonda has been closely involved with the Gulgong Eisteddfod since its inception and has a strong passion for accompanying students in performance. Her music qualifications include A.Mus.A, L.Mus.A, and LTCL.

Catherine Hope

Instrument: Piano

Catherine is a warm and engaging music educator with 18 years of teaching experience in Sydney and Mudgee. A graduate of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music and a qualified Kindermusik teacher, she offers music and movement classes for children aged 0–7, as well as private piano lessons for all ages. Catherine founded her Mudgee studio on the belief that everyone deserves the chance to experience the joy of making music. From a toddler’s first clap to an adult’s long-held piano goal, she creates lessons that are inspiring, accessible, and filled with the joy of music.

Sorcha

Instruments: Piano, Clarinet, Saxophone

Sorcha has spent most of her life immersed in teaching and performing music. She trained at Alexander Mackie College in Paddington and completed her studies at St George Institute. A passionate educator, Sorcha has taught piano, clarinet, and saxophone for over two decades, including at Roseville College and Pymble Ladies’ College in Sydney. She is also trained in the Suzuki Piano Method. Now based in Mudgee, Sorcha enjoys sharing her love of music with students of all ages. She performs locally with the Mudgee Concert Band and the Mudgee Jazz Ensemble.

Jayne Blake

Instruments: Flute

Jayne is a passionate and dedicated flute teacher who sees music as a joyful and essential part of learning. A graduate of Newtown High School of the Performing Arts, she holds an AMEB 8th Grade qualification in flute and has over a decade of experience as a high school teacher, with a strong focus on creativity and student engagement. In Mudgee, Jayne offers one-on-one and small group tuition, tailoring each lesson to her students’ individual goals—whether preparing for AMEB exams or playing for enjoyment. Her lessons are designed to inspire confidence, develop discipline, and foster a lifelong love of music.

Terrence Jennings

Subject: Literacy & Numeracy

Terrence is an experienced and committed educator with over 40 years of teaching across primary, secondary, and tertiary settings. Holding a Bachelor of Education, Diploma of Teaching, and Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, he brings a wealth of knowledge to his tutoring. Through Focus Time Tutoring, Terrence offers targeted literacy and numeracy support for students from Kindergarten to Year 12, specialising in early reading, essay writing, and HSC English. His patient, structured approach helps students build skills, confidence, and a genuine enjoyment of learning.

William Moxey

Instruments: Voice, Choral Conducting

William is a graduate of the Queensland Conservatorium of Music, where he studied voice and choral conducting. He has performed as a soloist with leading ensembles including the Sydney Symphony Orchestra and Australian Chamber Orchestra, and was a long-time member of The Song Company. William has directed choirs such as The Georgian Singers and currently conducts the Orange Regional Conservatorium Chamber Choir and The Allegri Singers. As an experienced teacher, he maintains singing studios in Orange and Mudgee, with students achieving success in AMEB exams and professional performance. William regularly adjudicates eisteddfods and is passionate about mentoring young vocalists.
